The concept: I sell artwork for no more than £200 each (not including shipping). Anyone can buy the work. My pledge: when I reach £1000 of sales I spend £200 on another artist’s work. From my studio: latest linen jacket in charcoal grey, with screenprinted facing and collage-appliqué on the back, all made from recycled fabric. I machine-embroidered the face, a self portrait obviously, in a workshop led by the inspiring artist Claire Heminsley of Incahoots. Just back from setting up my display at The Peacock and The Tortoise on George St in Perth. Until Friday morning March 27 you can see a selection of my handmade linen tops and jackets with flamboyant colourful appliques made from recycled fabrics in one of Trudy’s quilting shop windows. Posh location!

New work: a retro style 3/4 length jacket made from repurposed home decor fabric. The lining fabric is also second-hand. This piece I’m going to wear myself but the model will be part of my studio line.
And so the new decade begins! With a fabric rendition of landscape near my studio: Keillor Fields. Recycled fabric, even some of the sewing and embroidery threads are vintage.
