I’m painting more second hand furniture for my weekend exhibition ‘Vintage Upcycled’ during our Coupar Angus Snowdrop Festival 2018. Venue: Coupar Angus Heritage Centre, 8 George St, 24 and 25 Feb, 11-15. The full festival programme is available in libraries, cafés and many shops in our area, or online here.

When I go for walks in the vale of Strathmore, where I live, I often find it fascinating how dark clouds can accumulate in one area, and the sun is still shining not far away. The light created by this juxtaposition is spectacular, an impressive backdrop to the changing colours of the fields, depending on the time of year. In this painting I’ve tried to recreate these colours.

Exhibition at The Meffan, Forfar

One of my new paintings was accepted for the annual Winter Exhibition at the Meffan, a popular group show of work by Scottish artists.

Spread out over two large galleries you find an impressive variety of mainly paintings and drawings in different media, supplemented by unique sculptural work. An excellent exhibition!
