I have transformed a dark brown hall table into a contemporary focal piece that looks good in any room, not just the hall. The paint I used is environmentally friendly Annie Sloan chalk paint, the hue is called Louis Blue. The table is lightly distressed. Stylised flower heads decorate the table top, made using hand cut stencils. The painted surface is varnished and waxed for extra protection.
