A while ago my studio was visited by Vaso Makri. Vaso is the manager of Circular Tayside, a project that aims to help local businesses and organisations transition towards circular economy where “waste is given value and re-introduced to the economic system”. My first winter market this year is Urban Market Dundee at the Keiller Centre on Sat, 16 Nov, 11:00-17:00. In the company of excellent local designers I’ll present my colourful handmade linen garments embellished with repurposed fabric and embroidery – a contribution to slow fashion. I’ve been working on a new decorative panel made from recycled fabric, this time incorporating a small piece of commercially printed cotton. The panel is attached to a hand dyed, hand sewn hemp top, displayed on one of my bespoke manikins.
