Printmaking: collagraph

A collagraph combines elements of intaglio and relief printing on one printing plate by adding layers of adhesive or solid material to it. I have used the smooth side of a sheet of hardboard and created an image with glue, acrylic texture medium, carborundum and engraving tools.

Printmaking: relief print

Liverpool is one of my favourite places in England. This print is based on a photograph of the “Three Graces”, those famous buildings on the waterfront. The architectural shapes of the buildings are cut in cardboard and printed in solid colours; the finer outlines were cut into a lino block and printed on top.

Printmaking: linoprints

I’m working on a series of linoprints for Perth and Kinross Creates, a group exhibition at Perth Museum and Art Gallery in October 2016.
Artists were asked to submit proposals for work they wanted to show, preferably work based on the museum’s collections.
